The 13th amendment which was approved by the congress in 1865 declared that slavery would be banned throughout the nation. The 13th amendment was different from the Emancipation Proclamation because the Emancipation Proclamation did not free all the slaves in the United States. It declared that only slaves living in states not under the Union control were considered to be free.

The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution declared that neither slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist in the United States. The 13th Amendment and the Emancipation Proclamation are different because the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the states that seceded from the Union, still leaving slavery in untouched loyal states, and in the 13th Amendment slavery was outlawed everywhere in the United States.

The 13th amendment is different from the Emancipation Proclamation because the 13th amendment states that slavery will no longer exist in North America. The Emancipation Proclamation stated that not all Americans in the United states could be freed from slavery.

The 13th amendment declared that slavery was banned throught out the nation. This mean't that all black slaves were "free". The slaves were actually free but most slaves stayed with their owners because they weren't educated and could't get a job. (That's why I said "free" and not free.) This amendment is different from the Emancipation Proclamation because the Emancipation Proclamation declared that only slaves in the UNION were free, not the whole nation.

The 13th amendment that slaves would be declared free in those states still in rebellion. What was different was that when the Emancipation Proclamation was the declaring that slavery was not allowed no more.

The 13th amendment declared that all slaves be free and that no one in the country would be able to own a slave. This differs from the Emancipation Proclamation because it declared that only slaves in the Union were free. Not the whole nation.

The 13th Amendment declares no more slavery in the United States and that every man would be equal to eachother. The Emancipation Proclamation was a statement by Presedent Lincoln made slaves free in some souther states, but it was not the strongest law. If another presendent after him wanted slavery they can easily change the Proclamation. Thats why Lincoln wanted it part of the Constitution, so slaves can be free and man can be equal.

the 13th amendment was different from the amancipation proclemation because, the 13th amendment stated that all men where free including the blacks and could not be called slaves since they where freed men like all the white men.it also stated that no one could even own a slave. the amancipation proclemation stated that all southern states where free. all though this was a law the rules where not taken seriousley. the 13th amendment was taken alot more seriousley and the enforcement was higher

The 13th amendment declared that all slaves would be free. The 13th amendment also nobody was allowed to own a slave. The Emacipation Proclamation stated that all southern states would become free states. The difference between the two is that the 13th amendment was taken seriously compared to the Emancipation Proclamation which was not taken seriously and was ignored by many southerner's.

The 13th amendment was different from the Emancipation Proclamation because the Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves living in Union States and the 13th amendment freed all slaves in the United States and could not be changed by future presidents as the Emancipation Proclamation could be. It was to end slavery in a more permanent way.

Approved by Abraham Lincoln on February 1, 1865, the 13th amendment was different to the Emancipation Proclamation because it only freed the slaves in the north as for the 13th amendment which freed every slave in the north and the south.

The 13th amendment and the Emancipation Proclamation differed from eachother because the Emancipation Proclamation just freed slaves in North. While in 13th Amendment it freed the slaves in all states.

The 13th Amendment made slavery illegal in the entire United States of America. This was different from the Emancipation Proclamation (which freed all slaves in the Union states) because all of America was freed of slavery instead of just half of the country.

The 13th Amendment banned slavery throughout the nation, whereas the Emancipation Proclamation did not free the slaves in states loyal to the Union.

The thirteenth amendment stated that no one in the country could own a slave. The emancipation proclamation freed the slaves with the Union, not the whole country(nation)
