The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in all areas of the United states. It was different from before because White people were ordering them to pick cotton now they don't have to.

The 13th Amendment was made so that there was no more slavery in the United States. The 13th Amendment changed the way things were before the amendment was made because whites had the black people doing all the work for them for example, they made them pick the cotton. The 13th amendment was made so today the blacks have freedom so they don't have to do what white people ask blacks to do.

The Congress wanted the Thirteenth Amendment to apply to all people, not just citizens because people coming into the country could bring slaves with them or bring people into the country and sell them to other people within the United States. This could lead to prostitution, slaves, and people to be held against their will etc. The Congress probably didn't want this to happen.

The U.S. Congress wanted the Thirteenth Amendment to apply to all the people in the country, not just citizens. They were specific in this way because they wanted to prevent people who are not yet citizens, people who are just comming into the country, from practicing slavery or things of that nature.

The thirteenth amendment applies to all people in the U.S. Otherwise, there would still be slavery, even though no actual citizens are slaves.

The 13th Amendment applies to everyone in the U.S. This is because the congress wanted to make sure that even people that come from other countries could not sell slaves or anything of that nature.

Congress established the 13th amendment there would be no more slavery in the South. The blacks and slaves wouldn't be considered as property anymore but would still be considered as low class citizens. The blacks would still have freedom though.

The 13th amendment was created to end the terrible "disease" known as slavery. Although the south used slavery the 13th amendment applies to everyone in this country. For the reason off future slavery issues we could have came in contact with.

The 13th Amendment was applying to all people because they want it to be equal. So there will be no more slavery in the South, they want the black slaves to not be treated as property and to be treated as an equal citizen. They do not want people from different countries to come and think they can sell slaves in the U.S., so they make it apply to everyone.
