Hello everyone. Below the requirements are the rubric (can be downloaded) and the example I showed you all in class. Have a good weekend and please come in prepared to start researching.
Civil War battle project Due: Monday February 14, 2011
• You will be creating a one page graphic novel about a Civil War battle. • Your project will also have a page of additional information and a page for works cited. • Comic Life software will be used. • Students will work in pairs (unless otherwise instructed) to complete this project.
Students will choose one battle and research it looking for the following:
▪ Name and alternate name (if appropriate) ▪ Dates of battle ▪ Place fought ▪ Name of generals involved ▪ How many soldiers involved?/how many casualties? ▪ Was there a clear winner? Who was it? ▪ Significance of the battle? turning point? start of the war? strategic advantage?
Project requirements
1. minimum of 4 images relating to the battle. (these will be primary source pictures, not drawings/cartoons etc) 2. a screenshot of a map from Google maps of the area the battle took place in.
3. a one panel page containing information about the battle (see above)
4. a one panel page containing works cited information including images.

SAVING YOUR WORK As I mentioned in class, if your work is not named/saved properly, I will not correct it. I spent too much time hunting down projects last time and I should not have to waste time doing that.Please put your name(s) on theworks citedpage as well. Thank you.
